PAPERGEMS: Whimsical, magical

FEBRUARY 2004: The Journey of Journaling
Welcome to PAPERGEMS' musings. I wish you all a month where your hearts are filled with love.
THE VERY FIRST STEP: How to begin journaling?
"I have no time to journal!" Comments such as this narrow your thinking and limit your possibilities. Expand your mind,
journal your doodles, lists, three sentence impressions, allow the ideas to flow
naturally, anything short and sweet. Then date your entries. When you use your journal it becomes a close friend who listens, reflects back, and holds all your memories.
Using your journal, is the key here and I would honor the opportunity to assist you in transforming your memories into heirloom keepsakes and creating the perfect journal for you or someone special in your life. An old Chinese proverb tells us, " A thousand mile journey begins with one step." Take your first step into journaling with
PAPERGEMS.
LATEST CREATIONS: Grandparents, start a journaling tradition, in your family.
Memories are far too precious to be lost, so I design these Journals in a Box
for you to use in recording your whims, reflections, images & your hopes; a
sacred space for your legacies. When visiting with your grandchildren, bring out
these boxed journals and get everyone involved. What seems mundane and everyday
are precisely the types of things your grandchildren will want to know tomorrow,
about you and your world as it is today. By capturing and recording snippets of
your everyday events, you will slowly create an heirloom memory journal for each
grandchild. These really are the gems,
which keep your memories alive. Journaling prompts are included to assist you in
your journey.

Beijing is slowly awakening from the Chinese New Year Holiday. I too am gearing
up for a giant leap of faith with my
citywide grassroots journaling
project. Anyone reading this, who will be in Beijing from March 1 to
June 8, 2004, is invited to participate.
Email me so I can be sure you get a journal to record in and you can then
pass it along to another creative creature.
A LOVE OF READING: My reading usually takes place in a very hot bath.
"Holy Moly Mackeroly!…from 3 art stamps to the Smithsonian," By Gloria Page.
As I grow my business I experience many moments the good, the bad and the neutral. Gloria Page's book, "Holy Moly
Mackeroly!…from 3 art stamps to the Smithsonian," is truly an inspirational volume which I will return to over and over again. Having already been marked up, read in many a bubble bath, and endured turned down pages, I see it is destined for a permanent space in my personal library, that is, if I ever put it back onto the shelf! This book honors those Holy Moly Mackeroly Moments every artistic entrepreneur encounters. Bravo Ms. Page!
