Beijing Book Maker Virtually Supports China's Moonbears

A recent online, ebay, auction raised money to help save China's endangered
Moonbears at the Animals Asia Organization in China. Beijing journal maker
Mary Wiseman, sold her Tibeta handmade journal as part of the 20 Things.Org
virtual gallery's Second Annual Benefit Auction.
Mary Wiseman designer of Papergems, her business, creates custom handmade
journals for clients worldwide using the internet as a primary vehicle for
sales. "As part of this benefit auction, artists represented by the "20
Things.Org", virtual gallery were asked to donate proceeds from the sale
of our art pieces to our favorite charity. I wanted to give to China's Moonbears via the Animals Asia Organization. Wiseman stated, "My Tibeta
journal sold after seven days of bidding." She added,
"Ebay auctions are a great way to connect with people globally. The buyer of this
journal was located in the United States."
Mary created the Tibetan inspired blank journal, as part of Papergems'
Journals in a Box collection and this beauty literally stands on its own!
Hand-stitched pewter and coral beads base this 3 1/8 inch square, handmade,
accordion journal neatly into its black, textured, double covers. Forty
blank, ivory-colored, sturdy, smooth pages (front and back) stand ready to
record artistic inspirations in all media: pencil, pen, paint and/or
collage. This particular journal slides into a black and red silk pouch to
be stored in a black, textured, silk-covered box, when not in use.
In addition to her Journals in a Box collections Mary designs and creates
all types of custom journals, jewelry incorporating paper and silver, home
decor items made from paper and ephemeral items, in addition to other
customized paper designs. Her whimsical, magical and functional paper
creations are designed to assist users in transforming memories into
memoirs.
